The house had become too large for the family so the practice was asked to prepare schemes for conversion.

The scheme was designed so that each of the 5 flats had as much internal, external space and light as possible so tenants would be happy to live there in the future. It was also important to maintain the integrity of the house where possible - the result was that planning permission was given without any changes to the original scheme.

The street frontage has been changed to accommodate a new entrance to the 3 bedroom garden flat where the cellar has been excavated and also incorporate bin and cycle stores as requested by the planners.
